August 22, 2026 – Buses by the Beach SoCal
Dana Point, California

A relaxed beachside gathering for all air-cooled Volkswagens at Doheny State Beach, South Day-Use Lot, from 7 AM to 2 PM. Expect rows of Buses and air-cooled VWs along the coast, casual meet-ups, photos and a strong So-Cal turnout. Attendees usually bring chairs, EZ-UPs and coolers for a full day by the ocean. Snacks and drinks are welcome as long as they’re kept discreet and poured into plastic cups. Once parked, keep paths open for bikes, joggers and cars. A simple, sunny day at the beach with classic VWs and the community that keeps them rolling.

August 22, 2026 – Summer Picnic Run 2.0
Strawberry, California

A Sierra Mountains driving adventure hosted by Skinner Classics and Strawberry Station. The run starts at 10 AM out front of Strawberry Station and follows fire roads and backroads to a scenic picnic spot before returning for tacos and live music. Free camping Friday and Saturday night. No fees and no registration. Award for Best Picnic Setup.

August 22, 2026 – Bugs Bunnies & Buses Calgary

An air-cooled and water-cooled VW event with show, shine and swap from 11 am to 3 pm. Bring your VW, Porsche or Audi along with any parts, toys or collectibles to sell. Entry is ten dollars per vehicle and spectator admission is five dollars. Hot dogs, chips and drinks are sold in support of the Veteran’s Food Bank.
