Dave's 1964 Beetle Convertible

A few years before I found the car, it underwent a very thorough body off restoration. During that process, the floor pans, chassis, and suspension were sand blasted and powder coated. Semi gloss black for the floor and chassis and semi gloss grey all of the suspension parts. The body was sprayed VW Corrado yellow and Porsche headlight lenses were added along with blade bumpers during the re-assembly. The final touch was a beautifully fit, black canvas roof. Other than those minor cosmetic changes, the car remained fairly original. The first two photos are from VW Trends coverage of the car in an article called Northern Exposure which was done shortly after the restoration.
