This is my first time owning a VW of any kind and it is a 1972 Super Beetle! I was out looking for a second car to drive to work, because my wife needed our family car. We have 6 kids, so we needed something good on gas. I wanted something I would have fun with as well. As we drove around and looked at car lots, we thought they were all asking a lot of money for a cars that would need more work in the near future. My wife saw this little red VW Bug with a For Sale sign. We have both liked VW Bugs for a long time, just never really looked at one. The car looked as if it needed to be saved. We thought we could buy this car and we knew it would need work but it would be worth it.

We live in a part of the country where we see snow once a year or so. We get to drive our little car all year round. I drive it to work daily. This little car has been great to drive! We have been fans of Herbie "The Love Bug" for a long time and since the car was painted an off white color and has a light gray interior we thought it would be nice to make him a Herbie Replica. We looked all over the web for how to paint him or decals for him. We found them and are so happy! We have found that we get a lot of attention when we take Herbie out. Having 6 kids makes this car so much more fun than we could have ever thought!
