Maureen's 1979 Super Beetle Vert
It started 18 years ago my husband Bill promised me one day he would buy me a VW. He knew that I had a few when I was younger and that the convertible is my favorite. So for my birthday I got a 1979 VW convertible Beetle, yellow with a black top. It was shipped to our front door! Bought all original with only 20,000 miles, from the original owner, he literally kissed the car good-bye. I love it, when I do drive it I see all the kids doing the slug bug thing hitting each other on the arm and my kids laugh. They say hey Mom we don't have to do slug bug anymore we have our own bug! Thanks a million Bill! Now what in the world is he going to do for next year that could possibly beat this present? Hmmm ...
