Frank's 1973 Beetle

Hello, my name is Frank, I just purchased this 1973 Bug. I thought it was a '68 but the paper work says that it's a 1973 Standard Beetle. When I was fifteen I was given a Bug for a gift from my parents. My Dad has a history with Bugs and honestly, he definitely knows a lot more about them than I. I have owned about five Bugs and one VW Bus in the past. The funny thing is I haven't had the chance to learn much because I was young and too busy not paying attention to all the things my Dad would show me. He was always working on my VDubs. It's been a few years since I've had one and I've been itching for another, so I bought her.She caught my eye and I left a note on her, hoping the owner would want to part with it.He called and said sure so I bought it. Now it's time to get her on the road. I've done a few things in the last few weeks, but she is being difficult. I could get her running but when warm it stalls. Timing I'm sure, but it also blows out a bit of smoke from tailpipes, so when I get some time I will wrench on it. I am over excited about driving it, but I must be patient because you can't rush a good thing. So for now she sits out at my parents and my dad STILL is the one working on her in his free time.
