I live in Australia and this is my Bug. It's a 1973 "L" Bug, it has a 1800cc engine under the hood (or bonet if you want to get technical) thanks to a bore kit that was installed before I became owner of it. I am the third owner as mum was the second. When she bought it, it was 2 years old and when I was in grade one it was put into storage for me, so I'm the 3rd proud owner of this vehicle. It currently has mags which replaced the standard rims and the wheels and are wrapped in 195/70 Bridgestone Doughnuts. Also it has been fitted with a sports muffler and extractors, these both take away it's conventional VDub noise and replaces it with a deeper, better sounding exhaust noise. I am currently doing more things to it, but at the moment I'm looking more at the restoration of the body as it does have some rust, but not bad for a 28 year old car! My future accomplishments include lowering and maybe a body kit. At the moment I have just enough cash to run it.
